\n10 things every new homeschooler should know ~

I<\/span> never know exactly how\u00a0to answer when someone asks me how long we’ve been homeschooling.<\/p>\n

“Since the beginning,” goes over pretty well.
\n“We always have,” gets a fair response.
\nMy holistic view of learning used to lead me to say “since birth,” but that one raised some\u00a0eyebrows here and there.<\/p>\n

But if someone, wanting a more technical response,\u00a0counts the time since my oldest would have started Kindergarten, that makes this our eighth year of learning at home! No matter how you slice it, I guess I’m not a new homeschooler anymore. <\/strong><\/p>\n

I still remember those\u00a0days well, though.\u00a0The insecurity, the worries, the thoughts of inadequacy. (Oh wait, that was just last night!!)<\/em><\/p>\n

I’m crazy far from being an expert on the matter, but\u00a0the past several years have taught me\u00a0a few things I’d like to pass on to\u00a0every new homeschooler.<\/p>\n
