I hs’ed my 3 when they were young and they have been in school for several years now. I’m considering hs’ing again for the middle years (gr 6-8) but am struggling with the idea of how to keep my gifted kids engaged and busy for the whole day. They whip through academics easily, but how do you fill the day so that there is less time for (a) bickering/fighting and (b) screen time – which I severely limit in our home. Any thoughts or can you point me towards a relevant blog post about this? Many thanks!

I’m homeschooling three middle schoolers and there are times when I have to remind myself why we’re going what we’re doing. I have to keep telling myself that I don’t have to suddenly recreate the public school in my home just because we’re all older!
