I think those are cloth curtains in the doorframes. They almost look like they could be doors, but I think they are tapestry.

I’ve been homeschooling for a long time (finishing up my 10th year now), but I still have attacks of the “enough” monster. It was so helpful to read about your niece’s AP course. That’s some 15% of her class time that semester spent on movies (rough calculation based on 2 hour movies) – and wow. What a great reminder. AP course. Lots of movies.
And I’m over here worrying about whether we’re studying enough electives (not even core, gah). 🙂

I don’t see that subject mentioned anywhere in the article. I need to simplify our school days, and I’d like to try these ideas, but I worry about not giving my kids a good understanding of history.

I have daily goals and then the rest gets to be a bonus. But I struggle with the same thoughts of enough as you said. I read #4 and put the phone down to release a little sob. I am happy with what we do, but the worry persists, so grateful to your voice for the reassurance!
