My teen daughters have nicknames for me & my husband & I love it. People ask me why…I have no idea, but it’s so funny & endearing to me. They call me Helga and my husband Gladys. My husband calls them Erkel & Midge lol Teenagers are so much fun <3

Oh good question. He has chosen to do extracurriculars (which we love) but he gets overwhelmed balancing a heavy academic load (several AP classes plus PreCalc) so we thought that way we could stretch out those classes out a bit more, and his last year he could focus more on a teaching internship he has, etc. Also he excels academically but doesn’t feel like he’ll be ready at 18 to leave home and go to college. So we just thought letting him do that at 19 might be a better fit for him. But he WANTS to do that, so I can understand how that’d be a hard sell if a kid didn’t want to 😉
