I enjoy reading how everyone is growing up. It is funny that you have switched over to rock climbing and skateboarding (two of my kids’ favorites!) from OT. I am a pediatric PT and two of my three went to OT when they were younger for about a month and then I moved them to gymnastics (it was a rough transition initially). Since then, I keep them in something active that requires rotation, weight-bearing/nice hard work, and vestibular stimulation. So far, it has worked amazingly well! I hope you have the same success. I also love those hands-on projects like building the electric guitar!

We go back and forth. We sometimes use online (Teaching Textbooks and CTC). Other times, I use more math/life skills books from Amazon. Last month, we even completed a Nature’s Math study with Our Journey Westward.

Hi Clarissa,
It can feel so overwhelming! I am glad you found this helpful and encourage you to take a peek at more specifically about homeschooling kids with ADHD. I write about it a lot and there are lots of other resources out there.
Here is a link to get you started: https://differentbydesignlearning.com/homeschooling-a-child-with-adhd/
I hope this helps!

Hi! Thank you for your insight on this crazy journey. What math curriculum are you using? My son is high functioning and 13.

You bet! It is for sale through Beautiful Feet Books. You can buy a pack of four, if my memory serves. We use one or two a year to document all the places we are studying, reading about and of course, learning about on YouTube.

I am so glad to read you are moving into a better place consistently. I chuckled and shared the portion about your older son and homework for his classes with my older kiddo and she smiled and nodded. Yes! Relatable.
