Simple truth is often times the best truth. Just unplug for a bit. Love it. And a timely reminder for me. Thank you.

you are very correct. this world we are now has been so much captivated by social media. it’s hard for someone now to not check their phones for just 20mins. thanks for sharing this post I really gained a lot.

I’ve been tuning into social media less and less these days and trying to genuinely connect with people in other ways (email, messages, phone calls, etc.), but it’s so hard when so many people are plugged into social media for those types of things.

I’ve been thinking I just need a reset, and after reading this, I’ve decided I’m going to take one. I’m headed to NYC with my little guys this weekend for a quick trip with their grandmother, and I think I’m going to take that opportunity to unplug from it all for a few days. Hopefully I’ll come back with a bit of a better perspective. 🙂

Thank you for the nudge!

Read Digital Minimalism….was feeling less then after too many hours on IG homeschool accounts…so – unplugged! Surviving just fine without all that ‘extra’ that SM fills my head with. And pinterest? Gave that up ages ago 🙂

I’m currently unplugged 🙂 This post articulated a few of the reasons I found hard to explain to many who keep asking, “But, why did you delete WhatsApp?” I needed to start DOING and ENJOYING educating my children, to create a routine. Limiting as many distractions as possible is extremely helpful. I also find thinking of educating and simply being with my children as a job, with definitive hours that I respect by being fully present.
