We do something similar with sticky notes. It can easily be moved around or added to as needed. No damage is done to the wall (we rent) and it can be stuck up anywhere with small space. Also the kids can be apart of planning there own day which makes them go along with it better I find

You could always cut out pictures of your kids faces. Make magnets of them and put the picture with what that person has to do.
