I’ve been homeschooling my son since the start of the pandemic– Second year now. He’s 6, and getting him started in the mornings is by far our greatest struggle. I can see these ideas making a huge difference! Wish us luck!

I start the day by putting the dishes away with DD then I exercise with my husband while DD rides her bike or scooter or plays in the yard. Then we start school as we eat breakfast.

-Breakfast is first.
-Getting Ready for the day and chores next.
-One child practices piano.
-I, personally, go for a walk alone or do stretches. While I’m doing this, the kids do their devotions and have free time.
-We start school with read-aloud time.
It works really well for us and sets the stage for a good day.

LOL Or phrases such as “Rise and shine” Uh uh. Not happening. Love these ideas my favorite is to walk outside. Fresh air is perfect…of course coffee for mom helps too.
